Tyler Hayes is a science fiction and fantasy writer whose writings have appeared online in Anotherealm, Nossa Morte, and The Edge of Propinquity, and in print anthologies Skies of Wonder, Skies of Danger; No Sh!t, There I was…; and Not Our Kind. The Imaginary Corpse is his debut novel. When ideas are too real to fade away, what becomes of them? Like Tippy, a triceratops that was once a little girl’s imaginary dinosaur detective friend, they fall into the “Stillreal.” There, Tippy spends his existence playing detective for other orphaned creations. It is only when he runs into a strange idea, a nightmare monster named the Teatime Man that has the ability to murder other ideas, that Tippy must face his own trauma and uncover the mystery of the Teatime Man.
"Hayes’s debut is an affectionate, lightly mocking homage to noir tales…Readers will revel in this strange, fully realized world."–Publishers Weekly
