Tara Gilboy earned her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia, where she specialized in writing for children and young adults. A follow up to Unwritten, Tara’s latest middle grade novel, Rewritten, sees twelve-year-old Gracie wanting nothing more than to move past the terrible things author Gertrude Winters wrote about her. As Gracie tries to begin a new chapter in the real world, the other characters from Gracie’s story are all forced to start over, too. However, as the evil Queen Cassandra places the lives of Gracie and her parents in jeopardy, the girl must jump into another one of Gertrude’s tales, a horror story, to set things right.

Michelle received her BA in English Literature from UBC and later her MFA in creative writing. One of her latest novels is The House of One Thousand Eyes, a YA story set in early 1980s Germany.

Alice has spent most of her life obsessing about mermaids and the ocean. In The Tantalizing Tale of Grace Minnaugh, thirteen-year-old Grace finds her life upheaved from Ohio to California. As she sulks and her family embraces the “Cali life,” Grace finds solace in swimming in the ocean. A disastrous miracle soon transforms Grace into a gorgeous mermaid, which posses a both a blessing and a complication in her life.
