Los Angeles lawyer and author Pamela Samuels Young, an NAACP Image Award-winning author of seven fast-paced thrillers, will be the featured speaker at the December meeting of Mocha Girls Read. The group will be reading Pamela’s Anybody’s Daughter, which is about 13-year-old Brianna, who is ensnarled in the horrifying world of human sex trafficking. Despite her Uncle Dre’s own criminal past, he scours the dark corners of L.A. determined to find her.
Mocha Girls Read is a book club that brings black women in the community together to read great literature, online and in person, including monthly chapter meetings at Mysterious Galaxy.
